Beringer brakes riders hold a commanding lead in the AMA SuperMoto Unlimited championship after the Aug-26 Stafford Springs, CT race. First time 2008 winner Kurt Nicoll (HMC KTM) beat Aprilia-mounted Benny Carlson and Darryl Atkins to offer Beringer the first full Beringer podium of the 2007 racing season.
The first 7 riders to cross the line all used Beringer brakes (Bellerophon-Husky; Cini-Husky; Loire-Husaberg; Capper-KTM). In the points, Beringer riders hold the top 5 positions. Next race : Nashville, TN , Sept 2.

Following a dramatic final race with two come from behind to the front super aggressive rides, Troy Herfoss of HMC KTM bags the 2006 AMA SuperMoto 450 championship over team mate Chris Fillmore ! That 2 Beringer braked KTMs on vthe first 2 steps of the podium. Well done Troy and Chris, Well done HMC KTM.
Darryl Atkins lead the 2008 AMA SuperMoto Championship till the last race of the year and lost the title by only 1 point after suffering a flat tire !!! Congratulations nonetheless to Darryl Atkins and Rip It Aprilia for a fantastic season with Beringer Brakes
